Allan Nelson

My name is Allan Nelson and I am a violin/fiddle instructor at Resonate Music School & Studio. I grew up in a musical family, singing and playing piano, organ, mandolin, guitar, and banjo. Our household had a very strong bluegrass and country influence. I first found my passion for the violin at the age of fifteen. Shortly thereafter I began participating in various folk music competitions and I became a regular in the old time fiddle community.

I currently focus on classical music, particularly romantic and classical era repertoire. I am continuing my education and hope to attain a bachelors in classical music performance.

My main goal with teaching is to inspire passion in music. I hope to help my students think critically and help them discover and develop their own talents. I look forward to continuing my pedagogy and influencing the next generation of musicians!
