Hi! My name is Maryam. I teach piano and I specialize in classical music. I first became involved with piano at age 10. I holds a Master of Music in Performance from University of Tehran. I am now a Doctorate candidate in Piano Performance at the University of Alberta.
I have taught at the Conservatory of Tehran and University of Applied Sciences and Technology as a piano teacher as well as various institutions and academies. I have worked with students with different levels of expertise from elementary to advanced levels and with different range of ages.
I have also performed in various festivals and solo recitals as soloist and accompanist from 2015 such as Fadjr International Music Festival and Classic to Contemporary Music Festival. In addition, I co-founded Contemporary Music Ensemble of University of Tehran. I have participated as finalist in several piano competitions among which is the National Youth Music Festival(2016-2017) and Barbad Piano Competition(2017).
I believe in establishing a friendly atmosphere in order to gain the best achievements in the class. I am very enthusiastic to share her knowledge and bring out every student’s potential in order to make music and enjoy it.
