Hi! I’m Sophie and I teach violin at Resonate Musc School & Studio. I grew up in a very musical family and was constantly surrounded by every genre of music. I began my violin studies at the ae of two with a main focus on classical music. Over the years, I’ve played a wide variety of music, from classical, to fiddle, and pop as well. I’ve always loved playing the violin, but my favourite part about it is collaborating with other musicians. Music continues to inspire me more and more each day and I am extremely grateful to have it in my life. I am currently studying Psychology at the University of Alberta, and hope to eventually use my psychology and music backgrounds to explore the field of music therapy.
I began teaching four years ago and have taught students of all ages. I believe that everyone has the potential to learn and play music and that no age is too old or young to get started. Learning a new instrument should always have an element of excitement to it, and I always love to incorporate different activities according to each individual students goals and interests. I hope to share my passion about music and the violin to all my future students.
