Hot 107 & Resonate Music HOT Factor Winners
Hundreds entered, ten made the finals, and six were crowned the winners of Hot 107’s HOT Factor, powered by Resonate Music School & Studio.
Each of the six winners will receive: -$10,000.00 to be spent developing their careers (ie. touring, recording, promotion and marketing, administrative expenses, etc.) -Promotion on Hot 107 -$1,500.00 studio credit at Resonate Music School & Studio. -Feature performance at the 2013 Hot Factor Block Party at the Public House Patio on July 10th, featuring K-OS, Dirty Radio, and Benji! The purpose of the HOT Factor Program is to develop the careers of Edmonton’s emerging artists. There are hundreds of hard-working and talented artists in Edmonton whos careers could be taken to the next level of success if given exposure, funding, and support. The goal of the HOT Factor Program is to find the most deserving six each year and give them just that. We’re looking forward to seeing you guys in the studio!!
Bryan Finlay
Bryan Finlay is a Canadian Pop recording artist. In 2010, Bryan had the opportunity to record with world-class record producers, Mike James and Troy Samson (Hipjoint Music Group), both of whom have written and produced many successful commercial hits for artists such as, Hedley, Big Time Rush,Kelly Rowland, Kreesha Turner and Craig Smart. In February 2011, Finlay released his first self-titled EP. Later that year, Bryan signed a Worldwide Licensing Deal with ‘DMX Music Licensing’ for Hollister/Abercrombie & Fitch C.O. They would later add his single Sentimental Fool to the Hollister Summer 2011 Playlist where it was featured globally. Sentimental Fool, went on to be played on Canadian Radio. Bryan’s second single from his debut EP, All I Can Do, was picked up by Epitome Pictures in July 2011 and featured on the MuchMusic(Canada)/TeenNick(US) multiple-award winning hit Canadian teen drama television series, DEGRASSI . In July of 2012, ‘All I Can Do’ was picked up by Canadian radio and Bryan was named the “Bell Media Emerging Artist.” The win allowed the single to gain nation-wide radio airplay. In April 2012 Bryan released the single, ‘Good Times’ which was produced by Edmonton based production duo Hands Up! . Bryan is slated to release his debut record in July 2013. Michelle Molineux
Michelle Molineux, a triple threat Canadian performer, is currently working on writing and recording her first EP with Hands Up! – the amazing talent and masterminds behind “Explode”! Described as pure, innocent and sweet, Michelle’s unique voice tantalizes and invigorates her music. Her musical genre encapsulates pop and dance and some have compared Michelle’s vocal quality to Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and Madonna. With performance credits including opening for The Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Revue and Anjulie, Michelle is a mesmerizing performer. Aspiring for her music to evoke expressions of emotion and desire, to party infused dance-moves, Michelle strives to both move and inspire you with her scintillating songs! ESMA
Singer/songwriter/dancer ESMA is creating a new sound through the infusion of her exotic roots by combining genres of pop and urban music with a touch of Arabic. ESMA works with LA based marketing company A&R Worldwide who have helped build the careers of artists such as LMFAO, Coldplay, Avril Lavigne and Adele. Her producer, Fingazz, has worked with artists like Snoop Dogg and Karl Wolf. ESMA landed a sync deal with Emmy Award winning company Bunim/Murray. Her music has been placed in episodes of Bad Girls Club, an American reality show on the Oxygen Network, which brings in over a million views per episode. ESMA has opened for artists such as Jadakiss, LMFAO party rock crew, Danny Fernandes, JRDN and recently performed in Palm Springs, CA. ESMA trained with Ron Anderson, who has coached the voices of Alicia Keys, Janet Jackson and Usher to name a few. Daniela Andrade
Daniela Andrade is a 20 year old singer/songwriter from Edmonton, AB. Largely known for her heartfelt acoustic covers and originals on YouTube, her videos have been viewed over 9 Million times by a faithful worldwide audience. Her velvety soft but powerful voice has been compared to the likes of Cat Power and Norah Jones. Some of her musical influences include Feist, Lisa Hannigan and Regina Spektor.
