Global Features Studio-Time Winner & His Grade 5 Class

When Joel Kleine’s name was drawn as the winner of our free studio time giveaway we couldn’t have imagined then what we would later be a part of.  In our consultation with Joel we learned that he was actually a teacher at Edmonton Northeast Christian School and that he and his grade 5 class had written their own original song with hopes to have their song recorded and made available for sale on iTunes. All proceeds would then be donated to the Mosaic Centre: a non-profit wellness centre serving those challenged by poverty, hunger, and homelessness in northeast Edmonton.

On June 5th the kids came into the studio for their first-ever tracking session. On June 17th their song  made it’s official release on iTunes and on July 1st Global News featured the story on their evening news segment.

Below is the video of the news feature by Global as well as a video made by Joel that showcases their song as well as footage from their day in the studio.

We’d like to thank The Mosaic Centre for their efforts in the community, Joel and the entire Grade 5 class of Edmonton Northeast Christian School for bringing us on board with such a selfless and gratifying project, and of course Global News for helping promote the process.

You can click here to purchase the song on iTunes.
