Play for Pets 2015 Recap!
July 2015 marked the 5th annual Play for Pets fundraiser for the Edmonton Humane Society, and ended up being a particularly special event! This was Resonate Music School & Studio’s second year of involvement with the fundraiser, and we are absolutely overwhelmed by the enthusiastic participation and generosity of our students, staff, and teachers. A lot of hard work was put in to raise funds to help support the EHS in their charitable work protecting and promoting the welfare of our furry (and sometimes scaly) friends.
This year, our students, teachers, staff, and sponsors managed to raise a whopping $10,500.00, breaking last year’s record! Shout-out to Skyla Seguin-Schartner for raising the most donations and winning 10 hours of studio time. Way to go, Skyla, we’re looking forward to seeing you in the studio!
Students and teachers brought their talents to the stage at West Edmonton Mall for an afternoon packed with amazing live performances. And who could forget the surprise appearance from Ed Sheeran that went viral around the world! He just happened to be nearby and jumped on stage with our very own Sydney Bourbeau to finish his hit song Thinking Out Loud, duet style! What a whirl-wind that has been!
But most importantly, we want to extend a massive THANK-YOU to everyone for participating in Play for Pets this year and helping out a great cause. We are excited to see what happens in 2016!
