Who Is Brittney Grabill?
From Brittneygrabill.com “I am an outlet for a greater purpose. If my music can affect just one person, that ripple effect is worth every second of creation. I want to encourage you to believe in your abilities, like so many mentors have done for me. If you have a hard time believing in you, borrow my belief in you! Keep working everyday at what you love and how you can serve others.
I love writing music and being that “escape” for others. If I could do one thing to serve people, it would be through sharing my music and encouraging the fun/emotional aspects of life.
My name is Brittney Grabill and I am a singer/songwriter born in Edmonton, Alberta. I had my first commercial single, I Like You launch when I turned 16, as well as the music video on YouTube directed by Braden Croft (Hemmorrhage, Feed The Gods). All thanks to the support and mentorship I have received so far has made me the performer I am today.
My original music is available to purchase on iTunes, including my 5 song EP Dreams Are All You Know, which came out in January 2013. Thank you to the Alberta Foundation For The Arts for helping to fund that recording project.
Inspired by having major back surgery as a 13 year old child and to give back to my community, all the proceeds from Autumn’s Song will be donated to the Stollery Childrens Hospital. I am healthy and standing up straight today. The experience of major surgery helped me realize life is short and time is valuable, so do what you love and don’t play small.
I also have performed for charities such as the Suicide Awareness March, Love For Lilee Cancer Awareness, Little Warriors, Animal Voices, Missing Mutts Awareness and the Sherwood Park Appetite for poverty relief.
I’m so thankful to have received Rawlco Radio’s recording grant for my new album Candy launching June 2014. The new album has many girl group influences from back in the 1950’s & ’60s, as well as a modern pop vibe. Candy was recorded at PowerSound Studios with Scott Greene and guest vocals from Wes Mack (CCMA Award Winner).”
