What we collect

When you fill out a form on our site, we collect what you give us: your name, email, phone number, and the details you share, such as the instrument, who the lessons are for, your availability, or a recording project, along with anything else you write. As you browse, we also collect basic usage data through analytics, such as the pages you visit and the general device and area your visit comes from.

How we use it

We use your contact details to reply to you and to arrange lessons or studio time. We use the details you share to match you with a teacher and a time that fit. We use analytics to understand how the site is working and to make it better. If you tell us you would like to hear from us, we add you to our newsletter, and you can leave that list at any time.

Who we share it with

We share information with the service providers who help us run our scheduling, email, and records, and only so they can do that work for us. We also work with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google to measure how our site and our ads are doing, and to show Resonate to people who have visited our site. If you tell us on a form that it is okay, we also share your email with Meta in a hashed, unreadable form so Facebook and Instagram can show you Resonate ads, and so Meta can find new people whose interests look similar to our community. You can change your mind at any time by emailing us, and we will remove you from those audiences. Information from community fund requests and lesson cancellations is never used for advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

Where your information is stored

The providers that help us run scheduling, email, records, and analytics, along with Meta and Google for advertising, store and process information on servers outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of those places. How long we keep it

If your inquiry does not turn into lessons, we delete or anonymize it within two years. Records for enrolled families are kept while lessons run and afterward for as long as tax and business rules require. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any newsletter email. You can ask us to stop using your information for advertising, or to see, correct, or remove your details from our records, by emailing us, and we will take care of it. You can also manage ad and tracking settings inside your Facebook, Instagram, and Google accounts.
